The Humanity 1, a search-and-rescue vessel operated by German NGO SOS Humanity, arrives at the port of Ravenna, Italy, on August 18, 2026, carrying 73 migrants rescued in the central Mediterranean between Malta and Lampedusa. According to SOS Humanity, those rescued include 17 minors and five women. Italian authorities designated Ravenna as the vessel's port of disembarkation. The arrival marks the city's 28th migrant disembarkation since December 2022 and its fourth in 2026.
