During the trotting race, drivers sit in carriages as they race along the 1,200-meter course through the Wadden Sea as part of the Duhnen Wadden Sea Race. This horse race on the seabed is unique in the world and attracts several thousand visitors each year, who watch the spectacle from the dike in Cuxhaven-Duhnen.
