Masked activists from the No TAV movement, which opposes the Turin-Lyon high-speed railway project, clash with security forces after storming the high-speed rail construction site in Chiomonte. Protesters threw rocks and firecrackers, setting fire to four vehicles belonging to the Carabinieri and Guardia di Finanza. Police responded with tear gas and water cannons, leaving more than 50 security personnel injured and forcing the closure of a section of the A32 Turin-Bardonecchia motorway.
