The roof of a Grade II-listed church in south Wales has collapsed, just days after the site was cordoned off over safety concerns.

Zion Chapel on Twynyrodyn Hill was sealed off after stones and roof tiles began falling from the building. As a precaution, several nearby homes were evacuated, and the chapel is now subject to an emergency demolition order.

The local council says work to make the site safe is expected to take between four and five weeks.
