Headline: Young ospreys are ringed in Germany

A fish eagle (Pandion haliaetus) about five weeks old is being lifted out of its nest by WEMAG employee Michael Senff for banding. Bird experts are currently banding the chicks that hatched a few weeks ago, with support from the energy provider WEMAG. In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, there are more than 250 breeding pairs of ospreys, which raise about 400 chicks each year.
