Colored origin rings and the numbered metal rings from the Hiddensee Bird Observatory are ready for use in banding young ospreys. With support from the energy provider WEMAG, bird experts are currently banding the young ospreys that hatched a few weeks ago. In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, there are more than 250 breeding pairs of ospreys, which raise about 400 chicks each year.
