Two ospreys (Pandion haliaetus), about five weeks old, are lying in their nest awaiting banding. Bird experts, with the support of the energy provider WEMAG, are currently banding the chicks that hatched a few weeks ago. In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, there are more than 250 breeding pairs of ospreys, which raise about 400 chicks each year.
