Numbered rings on a young osprey. For the fourth time, three of these nestlings were banded. To do so, the team climbed the high-voltage power pole where the nest was located, briefly removed the birds, and fitted them with numbered bands on the ground. This effort supports research on these rare birds, which live in our region from March through September.
