The cutout portraits of Patrick Ewing and Larry Johnson stand on the City Hall steps. Artist Tom Sanford's 'Starting Lineup' installation at City Hall features portraits of past and present NY Knicks greats (his dream starting lineup) Anthony, Brunson, Ewing, Johnson, Sprewell and Starks represented in life-sized, hand-painted cutouts inspired by the signs used by mom-and-pop shops on the west side of Manhattan in the 1990s. The artwork marks the Knicks playing in the NBA finals for the first time since 1999.
