Director of the Dnipro Art Museum Liudmyla Shatiro draws reporters’ attention to a hole near a modern portrait of Ukrainian poet and writer Taras Shevchenko left by a massive missile and drone attack carried out by Russian troops, Dnipro, Ukraine, June 10, 2026. As a result of the attack on April 16, 2026, the blast wave shattered almost all the windows at the Dnipro Art Museum. Shrapnel also struck the museum’s facade, though the collection itself remained miraculously intact. This was the second strike on the institution following shelling in September 2025.
