Thousands of people and more than 1,000 participants dressed as Marilyn Monroe gather in downtown Palm Springs, California, during an event celebrating the 100th anniversary of Monroe's birth on May 30, 2026.

Organizers announced that 1,034 participants took part, surpassing the previous Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of people dressed as Marilyn Monroe.

The event was held near the city's iconic 26-foot-tall Marilyn Monroe statue and attracted visitors from across the United States and beyond
