Demonstrators stand outside 26 Federal Plaza in Lower Manhattan attending Rise and Resist's weekly vigil for those impacted by the Trump administration's immigrant detention and deportation policies. Participants hold signs that read 'DIED after ICE took his dad (primary caretaker) Wael Tarabish' with a picture 'No one comes 3,000 miles to steal. They come to work.' Protesters denounce the use of for profit prisons housing immigrant detainees including Delaney Hall in Newark, NJ, currently the site of a hunger and labor strike inside and violent confrontations between Federal agents and demonstrators outside.
