Participants jump into a mud hole at the 2026 Dirty Pig Festival in Hergisdorf. Winter is symbolically chased away at the forest party, the actual Dirty Pig Festival. To do this, the men jump into a mud hole. The "dirty pigs" are driven out of a mud-filled hole with a loud crack of the whip.
