From the cattle rich villages of Faridpur, Madaripur, Shariatpur, Rajbari, and Kushtia, wooden boats heavy with livestock set out across the Padma, Dhaleshwari, and Meghna. Their decks, crowded with animals and weary traders, drift through Munshigan's river junctions toward Dhaka and Narayanganj. In recent years, these cattle are sourced mainly from local farms and household rearing, as cross border inflows have sharply declined. Each vessel is more than transport it is a moving bridge between rural households and urban sacrifice. As the boats cut through muddy currents, they carry the pulse of Eid: faith, commerce, and resilience. In these floating caravans, the rivers themselves become arteries of devotion, binding distant villages to the capital's bustling cattle markets.
