Headline: Archaeological finds at Willigis Bridge in Germany

Matthias Stockinger, excavation manager at the Bavarian State Office for the Preservation of Monuments, uncovers part of the archaeological structure made of wood and stone from the 4th century BC. It was discovered during civil engineering work on the rainwater overflow basin at the Willigis Bridge. The structure close to the banks of the Main with its 2,400-year-old timbers and a dry stone wall is now to be professionally conserved.
