An archaeological structure made of wood and stone dating back to the 4th century BC has been discovered during excavation work on the rainwater overflow basin at the Willigis Bridge. The structure is located close to the banks of the River Main and Johannisburg Castle. The 2400-year-old timbers and the dry stone wall are now to be professionally conserved (photo taken with a drone).
