An archaeological structure made of wood and stone dating back to the 4th century BC has been discovered during excavation work on the rainwater overflow basin at the Willigis Bridge. The structure close to the banks of the River Main, with its 2,400-year-old timbers and a dry stone wall, is now to be professionally conserved.
