Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Yevhen Perebyinis (L) and State Emergency Service chief Andrii Danyk participate in a briefing to inform foreign diplomats on the consequences of a Russian missile strike on a nine-storey apartment block in the Darnytskyi district, where a section was destroyed. The residential building was struck by a Russian missile, allegedly a Kh-101, at around 3:00 a.m. local time on 14 May. The missile detonated inside the building, causing an entire section to collapse, killing 24 people, including three children, and injuring 48 others. The search and rescue operation lasted more than 28 hours, during which the State Emergency Service rescued 30 residents.
