Upon her arrival in Italy and as the first engagement of her visit, Catherine Princess of Wales is welcomed to Piazza Camillo Prampolini, outside Reggio Emilia’s Town Hall and the office of the Mayor.

Her Royal Highness is received by Marco Massari, who introduces her to Salvatore Angieri before escorting her inside the Town Hall.

The Princess then joins a discussion on the historical, cultural and educational circumstances that led to the development of the Reggio Emilia approach and the city’s longstanding commitment to prioritising early childhood education.
