Speaker of the United States House of Representatives Mike Johnson (Republican of Louisiana) speaks to reporters after passage of a US Department of Homeland Security funding bill, in the United States Capitol. The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has been effectively shutdown for 75 days. The bill funds all DHS operations with the exception of and Customs and Border Control (CBP) and United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) which will have to be addressed in a separate reconciliation bill.
