The South Sudan Red Cross (Juba Branch) has successfully recovered the bodies of all 15 victims from a plane crash that occurred southwest of the capital.

The crash site was located on Jebel Luri, a remote mountainous area west of Juba.

Rescue teams reported that it took more than an hour to reach the site on foot, despite its relatively short distance, due to the rugged terrain and lack of road access

Upon arrival, responders found the victims bodies severely burned.

Recovery operations continued through the afternoon as teams worked under difficult conditions to complete the mission
