April 19, 2026, Tyre, Lebanon: Israeli warplanes launched intense airstrikes on a residential neighborhood in Tyre, southern Lebanon, in the final moments before a ceasefire took effect, killing approximately 16 people and injuring dozens. Around 35 wounded were pulled from inside the targeted building, while about 40 others were injured in the surrounding area. An estimated five to six people remain missing under the rubble. For the third consecutive day, rescue teams continue search and recovery operations amid extensive destruction.
