Blue-throated macaws sit on a branch in the new bird world at Leipzig Zoo. In the last few days, seating and incubators have been installed, landscapers have planted the area and designed the new habitat. Now the walk-through "Loriversum" and "Amazonia" enclosures with the bird world of Asia and South America are open to visitors. The new bird worlds are located in the center of the zoo in place of the former parakeet, penguin and bearded monkey enclosures and expand the overall concept of the "Zoo of the Future". With the new aviaries, the zoo is creating space for contemporary and near-natural bird keeping.
