Press conference with Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, New York Governor Kathy Hochul, Port Authority Executive Director Kathryn Garcia and Mayor of New York City Zohran Mamdani, following the collision of an Air Canada jet and a Port Authority fire truck on the runway at LaGuardia Airport. The collision resulted in the deaths of two pilots and the hospitalization of 41 others. The crash caused significant damage to the front of the jet and led to the temporary closure of LaGuardia Airport for most of Monday. The airport reopened after several hours as the National Transportation Safety Board continues its investigation.
