German technicians climb onto a Leopard 1A5 main battle tank on which a Ukrainian soldier is sitting at a training ground in Saxony-Anhalt. Ukrainian soldiers are being trained on the main battle tank there as part of the EUMAM mission. The training mission began in October 2022, since when 25,000 Ukrainian soldiers have been trained by members of the Bundeswehr in Germany.
