A greater mouse-eared bat (Myotis myotis) hibernates on a wall in the vaulted cellar of the old brewery. One of the most important bat roosts in the region has developed in the historic cellars of the old brewery in Frankfurt (Oder). Experts count several hundred animals of various strictly protected species there every year. The cool, damp vaults offer ideal conditions for hibernation and nursery roosts.
