Amid rising tensions from the war in the Middle East, an oil tanker carrying more than 27,000 tonnes of diesel from Singapore has anchored at the Patenga jetty of Chattogram Port to help maintain normal fuel supply. Around 375,000 tonnes of oil and gas are on board 10 vessels that have arrived at or are on their way to the port.
