A new outdoor exhibition showcasing historical photographs of Brighton and Hove has opened in the city. Curated by the Regency Society, which works to celebrate and protect Brighton's architectural and cultural heritage, the display features images from its extensive archive of more than 7,500 photographs. The exhibition draws from The James Gray Collection and includes images dating from 1850 to 1943, highlighting what the society describes as Brighton's vibrant and ever-changing history. The photographs offer a glimpse into the city's past, capturing everyday life, landmarks, and transformations over nearly a century.
