Large numbers of dead creatures have washed up along the West Norfolk coast.
Wild Ken Hill has reported deposits on Snettisham Beach, which included a common scoter bird, thousands of flat fish, a seal and lots of crustaceans.
The cause has not been stated. However, it is believed that rough seas over the Christmas period may have contributed to the deaths.
A statement from the nature reserve said: “While it can be sad to see these marine creatures washed up on land, they will provide much-needed nutrition to a multitude of animals this winter.
“The circle of life continues.”
