Snow cannons make snow on the ski slopes at the Wurmberg cable car. The first ski and toboggan lifts in the Harz Mountains could open in a few days. The German Weather Service is forecasting snowfall several times over the coming week. The snow cannons on Wurmberg, Lower Saxony's highest mountain, have been running on and off for days. But due to strong winds, the snow does not stay on the slopes.
