Demonstrators, campaigners and parliamentarians gather outside the Department of Health and Social Care to protest against the planned clinical trial to assess the risks and benefits of puberty blockers in gender questioning children. Puberty blockers, also known as puberty suppressing hormones (PSH), were banned last year following the independent review of gender identity services for children under 18 led by Dr Hilary Cass due to the lack of clinical evidence over their safety.
