Christian nun Antoinette Ghaleb helps Muslim ladies in putting the last touches on a Christmas tree made of soap at the Christian Antonine Sister school in the village of Roumieh, northeast of Beirut. The tree made of 2,000 kilograms of soap and natural herbs, done by one of the most renowned soap makers in the country, stands as the first of its kind in Lebanon and the world. Christmas celebrations in Lebanon extend beyond Christian communities, fostering a spirit of unity and shared joy in a country plagued with to poverty, power cuts, and regional tensions.
