24th anniversary 9/11 commemoration ceremony is taking place on the 9/11 memorial plaza at the World Trade center in Lower Manhattan. This commemoration remembers and honors the 2,983 men, women, and children killed in the 2001 attacks at the World Trade Center site, The Pentagon, and aboard flight 93, and those killed in the February 26th 1993 WTC bombing. It is for family members of victims of the 2001 and 1993 attacks. The ceremony will pause to observe moments of silence six times, starting from 8.46 am, acknowledging when each of the World Trade Center towers was struck and fell, as well as the times corresponding to the attack on the Pentagon and the crash of flight 93
