Lebanese army soldiers secure the area as trucks loaded with weapons handed by Palestinian factions leave the premises of Palestinian refugee camp of Burj al-Barajneh in Beirut. Palestinian factions in Beirut and south Lebanon handed over weapons to the army as part of the government's drive to disarm all non-state actors in the country. Only factions affiliated to the Palestine Liberation Organization [PLO] are taking part, including the Fatah faction of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas. Palestinian factions opposed to Abbas, including Hamas and its ally, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, have rejected the plan as ''unilateral'
