Major Maciej ‘Slab’ Krakowian was killed in practice flying on Thursday evening 28 August, ahead of Radom International Air Show.

He was the leader of the display team and, earlier in August, was awarded the ‘As the Crow Flies’ Trophy by aviation enthusiasts for the “best overall flying demonstration” at the 2025 Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford, UK.
