Al Jazeeras bureau in Mexico organized an evening at the Angel of Independence to condemn the killings during an Israeli attack of Al Jazeera journalists Anas al Sharif, Mohammed Qreiqeh, Ibrahim Zaher, Mohammed Noufal, and Moamen Aliwa, as well as independent photographer Mohammed al Khaldi. The event was joined by Mexican journalists organizations and freedom of expression advocacy groups.
