Demonstrators holding an upside down American flag and dressed as 'The Ghost of Due Process' block traffic outside of 26 Federal Plaza, an act of civil disobedience while calling for inspectors to be admitted to the holding facility on the 10th floor where migrants are being held after the daily warrantless detainments by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents at the immigration courts in the building. Members of Extinction Rebellion NYC and 50501 demand inspections after reports of overcrowding and inadequate food and water for those taken by ICE and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and detained at the Jacob K. Javits Federal Office Building in Manhattan's Civic Center.
