Outside of the employees entrance at 26 Federal Plaza in Manhattans Civic Center members and supporters of Rise and Resist hold banners and signs that read 'NO DETENTIONS NO DEPORTATIONS' 'ICE is TRUMP'S GESTAPO' 'JESUS WOULD HATE I.C.E.' 'ABOLISH I.C.E.' 'DEMOCRACIES don't do this' with images of prisoners in CECOT 'GLEEFUL CRUELTY IS OBSCENE' at an immigration vigil protesting U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and ICE agents for abducting migrants. The building houses immigration courts where Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and ICE agents are detaining immigrants after their routine hearings. Law enforcement officers must walk past a long line of protesters as they exit the building on their lunch hour. Demonstrators denounce the policies of President Trump, T. Homan, K. Noem and S. Miller as inhumane.
