At least 15 people have been killed and 114 others injured after one of the worst Russian missile and drone attacks of Russia’s full scale war in Ukraine took place on Kyiv overnight on 17 June 2025.
The almost nine-hour long attack saw Russia launch almost 472 aerial weapons overnight, including nearly 280 Shahed-type attack drones and two Kinzhal ballistic missiles, according to the Ukrainian Air Force. Although other parts of Ukraine were hit, the strike primarily targeted the capital.
15 people have been killed and at least 114 people have been injured, according to the latest information provided by officials.
President Volodymyr Zelensky called the attack "horrifying" and added, “Such attacks are pure terrorism."
He continued: "And the whole world, the U.S., and Europe must finally respond as civilized societies respond to terrorists."
