Protesters opposed to abortion up to birth gather outside the parliament as MPs vote on decriminalising abortion. Currently, abortion in England and Wales is permitted up to 24 weeks of pregnancy and beyond that under certain conditions. The proposed changes would mean that women would no longer face prosecution for abortions after 24 weeks.
