On Tuesday, April 22, 2025, the Directorate of Narcotics Investigation of the Central Sulawesi Regional Police intercepted an international drug operation, confiscating 24 kilograms of methamphetamine on Trans Sulawesi Street in Watusampu Village, Palu City.

The drugs, valued at billions of rupiah, had been smuggled in from Malaysia and were destined for distribution across several areas in Central Sulawesi.

Two individuals, believed to be couriers for the narcotics network, were arrested at the scene.
