Damage caused to Berlin’s Humboldt University following the occupation of the Emil Fischer lecture hall by pro-Palestinian activists on April 16, 2025. Around 100 demonstrators reportedly vandalised walls and furniture while protesting Germany’s support for Israel, which they accused of violating international law in Palestine. The protest also drew attention to the possible deportation of four activists linked to earlier demonstrations.

Police noted the presence of red triangle symbols associated with Hamas, as well as graffiti praising violent resistance. Banners with anti-Israel messages, some deemed hate-inciting and denying Israel’s right to exist, were also displayed.
