Christian Lau, archaeologist from the Saxony-Anhalt State Office for the Preservation of Monuments and Archaeology, points to a barrel vessel with a cover vessel. The burial urn is part of a Bronze Age burial ground. The archaeologists had found seven burials from the Middle Bronze Age and seven urn burials from the Late Bronze Age there. The excavation took place in the run-up to the construction of the SuedOstLink between Wolmirstedt and the Isar site in Bavaria.
