An excavator is cutting through the ground next to high-voltage power lines on behalf of the Saxony-Anhalt State Office for the Preservation of Monuments and Archaeology. The archaeologists had found seven burials from the Middle Bronze Age and seven urn burials from the Late Bronze Age. The excavation took place in the run-up to the construction of the SuedOstLink between Wolmirstedt and the Isar site in Bavaria.
