Spandau fisherman Jens Hidde (M) and his colleagues load glass eels into transport boxes on his boat. The elvers, each weighing around 0.3 grams, come from French estuaries to the Atlantic and are now being distributed widely by fishermen in the Oberhavel, Unterhavel, Spree and Dahme regions.
