Headline: Glass eels are released in selective regions of Germany

Britta Behrendt, State Secretary for Climate Protection and the Environment at the Berlin Senate, uses a small landing net to release glass eels into the Havel from a boat. The glass eels, each weighing around 0.3 grams, come from French estuaries to the Atlantic and are now being widely distributed by fishermen in the Oberhavel, Unterhavel, Spree and Dahme areas.
