Spandau fisherman Jens Hidde (l) sails on his boat with colleagues to release elvers on the Havel. The elvers, each weighing around 0.3 grams, come from French estuaries to the Atlantic and are now being distributed widely by fishermen in the Oberhavel, Unterhavel, Spree and Dahme areas.
