A 30-year-old man was taken into custody after opening fire on four NYPD officers near New York Avenue and Park Place in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. Around 4:50 p.m., officers spotted the suspect armed with a firearm, at which point he fired at them. No officers or civilians were injured. The police pursued the suspect on foot before apprehending him. Charges are pending.
