February 24, 2025, Makran, Iran: The Islamic Republic of Iran Army engages in the main phase of the joint Zolfaghar 1403 military drills along the Makran coastlines, in the Sea of Oman, and the northern Indian Ocean. Iran's Army has launched large-scale drills, deploying ground forces, armored units, defense systems, and naval forces. The exercises aim to strengthen defense capabilities, enhance deterrence, and test new tactics, advanced weaponry, and cyber-electronic warfare. Army aviation also plays a key role, with Cobra and other helicopters conducting operations along the Makran coast to improve pilot skills and military readiness.
