Protesters gather carrying flowers and signs saying Defend the Right To Protest outside Westminster Magistrates Court as Chris Nineham founder of Stop the War Coalition was scheduled to attend his plea hearing. Police arrested him after they declared he broke section 14 of the Public Order Act during a pro-Palestinian march on January 18th 2025. Protesters believe that the police and government are restricting the ability of ordinary citizens to protest in the future.
